Tarkio Golf Club is a Semi-Private 9 hole golf course located in Tarkio, Missouri.
Tarkio Golf Club opened for olay in 1968. The course was designed by Chet Mendenhall. This course features water hazards (ponds) coming into play on four holes. The tree-lined fairways vary between hilly and flat. Sand bunkers have been positioned around the course, and the well-maintained greens are slightly sloped.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees the course plays to 3,254 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2,652 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 156 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 505 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 8, the 156 yard par-3.

Tarkio just might have the best golf course in Northwest Missouri! It is a beautiful course that is well taken care of. The senery is wonderful, and the course is challenging enough to make you work at your game. The greens were emaculate the day I played.
